Environment, Health and Safety
While we work to meet the needs of our patients, we must also safeguard our employees as well as future generations from unnecessary risks. In addition, we must do our part to tackle critical environmental issues, such as the effects of climate change and the depletion of natural resources. That’s why at Avanir, we are committed to long-term environmental responsibility.
We’re located in a LEED certified building where energy efficiency allows us to operate at a lower cost with lower environmental impact. Our offices feature:
- Interiors that maximize use of daylight
- Drought tolerant landscaping
- Storm water filtration system
- Efficient parking structures
- Direct digital controls to HVAC
- Indoor air quality management plan
- Green housekeeping and site maintenance programs
- And of course, we recycle!
We’re committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees. From nutritious snacks to walking breaks with Fitbits for everyone, we’ve got it covered.
All employees regularly participate in safety training, and we are required to immediately report all work-related injuries, illnesses or environmental incidents. Avanir uses the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) system to record and report work-related illnesses and injuries.
